Pardon the Dust!

Pardon the dust has become the catch phrase for our Church renovation. Starting in September of 2006 to February of 2008 our Church was renovated from the roof to the basement. In some areas the rooms were taken down to the bare studs and rebuilt.
Our Church is the dwelling place of the Almighty God and Savior, Jesus Christ. We offer this House as our humble gift to Him. May this House be a place of worship and a lighthouse to the community of Federal Way, drawing them into a loving relationship with our Savior, who gave His life on Calvary for our salvation.
Below are before and after pictures. Just click on the picture and a slide show will begin. We praise God that our renovation was finished within our budget of $180,000.00. God has blessed that we could do so much.

Pardon the Dust - #1

The first phase of our building was built in the early 1960's and the Sanctuary about 1980. In June of 2006, it was voted to borrow money and to refurbish the entire Church facility inside and out. The kitchen, fellowship hall, and Sanctuary were renovated the Fall and Winter of 2006.
Pardon the Dust - Bathrooms - #2
In March of 2007, the renovation continued with remodeling all the restrooms and downstairs classrooms. The bathrooms were all gutted down to the studs and all new fixtures were installed. In the women's restroom we moved the toilets and stalls to the back wall, which opened up the room and gave more space. In the men's restroom the sink was moved from in front of the stall door to the corner behind were the sink had been. The walls and floor were tiled and automatic faucets and flush valves were added to the fixtures.
You can also see that all the rusty stalls have been removed and walls were built with regular louvered wood doors on the stalls.

Pardon the Dust - #3
The office was redesigned to make it more usable. With an additional window added and the glass doors, the outer office has an open feeling. The downstairs hall now has all the pipes hidden with great lighting. Glass entry doors have opened up the foyer and other areas, giving light and an inviting feeling.  Carpeting the basement and a new heating system were part of the final touches. It is so nice not to have dust everywhere now, and now we are able to use all of our building for the service of God.
